Dr. Dina Lunken has been teaching Art and Jewish Studies at PHDS for eight years. She loves to watch the kids’ faces light up as they see what incredible artwork they can create. In her own words, “We learn about artists, art styles, and how to use different types of media. In many schools where Art class has been priced out of the curriculum, at PHDS we know art is essential for children to develop and have a well rounded education.”
In Jewish Studies, Dr. Lunken loves to teach different tefilot and ethics to all the ages. “We not only learn how to say prayers, but work to understand the purpose behind them. It’s wonderful to have discussions with the kids about how these teachings relate to living our lives as good people and each person’s responsibility in society.”
